  1. Been there too many times with clients. There was an article in the Harvard Business Review a number of years ago essentially saying that business board members on nonprofits check their business brains at the board door. They assume that a nonprofit operates differently. It does, but not that way. The bottom line isn’t the same, there are more kinds of stakeholders to satisfy, and there is little money for research and development. Even a businessperson should see that that leads to choosing the best and brightest if you want to succeed.

  2. No comments, just want you know that this is an agreeable dilemma that could potentially have positive results if the dogma was resolved for profitablity.
