    Information is power because if you know ahead of time what’s going on in your company – a change in leadership or strategy – you will be better able to respond in a planned, constructive manner. In otherwords, you’ll be proactive rather than reactive. So, for example, you hear about a change of focus in your business unit.Therefore you could start thinking about:

    How might this change affect my present position?
    Will I have a job or should I start looking elsewhere?
    Will I need to acquire new or different skills?
    What other options do I have?
